Description: Very popular in the 70's, this diet is a weight redusing plan that provides 43% protein, 22.5% fat and 34.5% carbs.



This diet claims it will be easy to follow and the weight loss will be rapid (about 10 - 20 pouds in 2 weeks).



The drawbacks for this diet is that it is too low in calories, its very strict, and recommending such a high protein intake can (in practice) lead dieters to consume more fat than is safe for their health.

I tried this diet a couple of time. It worked very well. I lost weight. Lots of weight. But i never stay on it for more than a month or two. So that is the drawback. If you are looking to just lose some weight for the summer or something then try it. If you are looking for a long time diet plan then i would not recommend this diet

    1000 calories?? That is low.

The calories this diet puts you on is way too low. I found more success with the higher calories type of diets.

This diet is too strict. Plus it limits your food choices. I don't like that in a diet.

I think the is the most simple diet i have been on. Plus it works. I lost more weight on this diet than I did on the SouthBeach diet. I lost 35 pounds last May.

I did lose weight on this diet. However not as much as I wanted to as I remember. The diets that are going around now adays, you can lose more weight and faster than before. I recommend a low carb diet such as SouthBeach or Atkins Diet
