Peanut Butter Diet Reviews
Description: Written by Holly McCord, the Peanut Butter Diet (2001) is an ingenious blend of populist diet and scientific evidence. After all, any diet which includes regular helpings of peanut butter (one of America's favorite comfort foods) is likely to leave dieters feeling less deprived and more willing to achieve their weight loss goals. The Peanut Butter Diet permits two (tablespoon-size) servings twice a day of peanut butter. Men are allotted six tablespoons of peanut butter a day

This diet should be combined with 45 minutes of daily exercise. Don't exceed the recommended peanut butter servings given in the diet. Two tablespoons of peanut butter contain 190 calories and calories still count.

    PB twice a day

This is a diet that works for me since I love peanut butter. I buy the reduced fat PB and spread it on celery or on wheat bread and it makes a great breakfast. For dinner I usually melt peanut butter over white meat chicken or just have a PB sandwhich is just a drop of honey. There are many different recipes out there. If you like PB then this is a perfect diet. I exercise daily and found that i haven't gained any weight in 6 months. Maintaining my weight was priority #1.

This would be a stupid diet...

It would be stupid because peanuts are extremely deficient in
one of the amino acids and low in another, and therefore are
not a complete protein.

If you want to try this, buy Jif Creamy Reduced Fat
Reviewer: Othella       03-31-2004
The only difference I've noticed between Jif Creamy Regular and Jif
Creamy Reduced Fat is the reduced fat version is harder to spread.
The reduced fat version has about 10 calories less.

    It does work.

It does work, but you have to stick to the natural peanut butter not the store bought pb with preservatives and other unnatural ingredients. Also, give the diet time, its not one of those overnite miracle diets.

    PB Diet
Reviewer: Carol       03-27-2004
I bought my dog peanut butter home baked treats and cannot even open the
bag without getting a reaction. What was I thinking? Just wanted to
get close to peanut butter again. I ate it all my life until I
developed sensitivities and some food intolerance in March 2000.

    Advice on the PB diet
Reviewer: Ruben       03-25-2004
Treat yourself to some pure almond butter with no additives. If you are
a peanut butter fan, you'll probably like it as well if not more. It is
a good source of protein but also high in fat so a one tablespoon
serving or LESS should be adequate.
It is great with cheese or stirred in yogurt too. Adding a little to a
stir fry thickens it if you don't wish to use flour.

    I feel better

I feel better than I have in years, esp. since going on Ken's "Peanut
Butter" diet. I am able to be up and out of bed 4-6 hours and can maybe
run 1 errand, but have to be careful because I still catch every virus
that comes along.

I tried this diet last year
Reviewer: Antonio       03-23-2004
I tried it last year and i am not sure if it works or not because i got very sick of Pb quick. Eating peanut butter on a daily basis would drive anyone insane.
