Description: This diet consists of raw foods such as fruits, herbs, and green-leaf vegetables. Since this is a mucus-free diet you can expect to eliminate the accumulation of waste and
obstructions deposited in the body tissues during a life- time of wrong eating. Give the body a clean blood stream and it will function harmoniously as nature intended it should.

Great Book Reviewer: Mike 07-27-2004 All my life I have had mucus problems and I have been sick alot. I never really knew what exactly I was suppose to eat and avoid. Well, this book was not only an inspiration which changed my life, but I now am a new person and feel alot healthier. I recommend this book to anyone. The best book I have ever read. |
Just another fasting diet Reviewer: Marc 07-27-2004 I tried it. Its nothing special. It seems to be another one of those fad diets or fasting diets. |
Fasting Reviewer: Candy 07-20-2004 Someone told me about this diet a few months ago. Very vaguely though. I had no idea that it was another 'fasting' diet which i don't agree with. I have always thought fasting to be very unhealthy and not a smart way to diet. |

Quick Fix Reviewer: Michelle 07-15-2004 I was on a similar diet 6 years ago and I lost 15 lbs before summer. It does work. |
This is not a perminent diet Reviewer: Rita 06-27-2004 Most people wouldn't last on a diet like this. Maybe only temporary to correct some sort of health condition. But for your average person like me who is just looking to drop a few pounds, this is not the diet for you. Just my opinion though. |
Not easy to understand Reviewer: Jerry 06-18-2004 I ran into so much trouble trying to understand what this diet was about and after reading the whole book I am still confused. |
The Mucusless Book Reviewer: Mae 05-02-2004 I read the book a long time ago, but it seemed to me that he laid out the
"plan", which was mostly fruit and vegetables. Dinner, which I used to
look forward to, was cottage cheese and applesauce. Lunch was a bowl of
grated carrots. I had oatmeal for breakfast and felt like I was cheating,
so I don't remember what he recommended, if anything. He had a story in
there of eating nothing but grapes for days. One thing that turned me off
was when he started going on about how isn't it wonderful? women on the
diet stop having periods. Hey, we're supposed to keep enough fat for
that! Women who are starving don't get periods either.
Actually, I felt great while I was doing it, and had lots of energy. But
cheese was my downfall. I melted a little on my spinach, and then the
next time a little more, then a little more. Now having too little fat is
the least of my worries! |
Basic diet to lose a few pounds Reviewer: Benny 04-30-2004 I wanted to lose about 10 pounds and as quick as possible. I needed a way to drop down to another weight division for wrestling season. Well I came across this diet last season and it worked like a charm. I went from 190 down to 179. It was perfect. |
rational fasting by Arnold Ehret Reviewer: Martin 04-28-2004 I've recently become interested in the book _Rational Fasting_ by Arnold
Ehret. In it, he talks about going on a "mucusless diet". However, he
never mentions what foods are considered "mucusless", although I gathered
that leafy green vegetables and most fruits fall into that category. I
also remember running into a reference to a "mucusless diet" in a pamphlet
by the herbalist John Christopher, but again no details on what foods fall
into that category.
Does anyone have any references for what foods are considered mucusless?
I'm considering trying such a diet, and I'd much rather have some kind of
definitive list, than guessing. |
